About This workshop
This intensive one-day workshop empowers participants to design, assemble, and program their own IoT sensor nodes tailored for smart agriculture applications. We will cover the fundamentals of microcontroller programming (ESP32/Raspberry Pi Pico), various environmental sensors (soil moisture, temperature, humidity), and wireless communication protocols like LoRaWAN, ideal for rural Oklahoma. Attendees will gain practical experience in data collection, basic cloud integration for visualization, and learn how to interpret sensor data to make informed decisions for farm management. No prior IoT experience is required, just a keen interest in sustainable tech and farming innovation.
