About This hackathon
BayouCode 2026 invites tech enthusiasts to collaborate on vital solutions for Louisiana's threatened coastlines. Participants will form teams to tackle real-world problems such as wetland restoration, water management, flood prediction, and sustainable urban development using cutting-edge technology. Mentors from local universities and environmental organizations will guide teams in developing innovative prototypes that can make a tangible difference in safeguarding the unique ecosystems and communities of the Gulf South.
