About This workshop
Dive deep into the world of sustainable IoT at this immersive workshop in scenic Park City. Participants will gain practical experience designing, assembling, and programming low-power sensor nodes specifically tailored for remote environmental monitoring applications in challenging high-altitude conditions. We will cover microcontrollers like ESP32, various environmental sensors (temperature, humidity, air quality), and data transmission protocols, focusing on energy efficiency and long-term deployment strategies. By the end of the day, attendees will have built a functional sensor prototype and understood the pipeline for deploying real-world monitoring systems to protect and understand Utah's natural landscapes.
