About This workshop
This hands-on workshop provides a unique opportunity to explore the intersection of textiles, electronics, and human-computer interaction. Participants will learn fundamental concepts of smart material integration, sensor technologies, and microcontroller programming specific to creating haptic feedback in wearable devices. We will guide you through the process of selecting appropriate conductive threads, flexible PCBs, and miniature actuators, then demonstrate practical techniques for prototyping these systems onto fabric. By the end of the day, attendees will have built a functional prototype of a smart textile component capable of delivering tactile feedback, ready for further development in fashion, healthcare, or gaming applications.
