About This hackathon
The Palmetto Eco-Innovate Hack challenges developers, designers, and environmental enthusiasts to create groundbreaking technological solutions for South Carolina's urgent coastal environmental issues. Participants will tackle problems like rising sea levels, water quality monitoring, sustainable tourism, and natural resource management, leveraging data and cutting-edge tools. This 24-hour event encourages interdisciplinary teams to build prototypes, develop software, or design hardware that directly impacts the resilience and sustainability of our precious coastal ecosystems. Mentors from environmental science, tech, and local government will guide teams towards impactful and implementable innovations.
