About This workshop
This intensive, hands-on workshop equips participants with the skills to design, build, and deploy serverless Internet of Things (IoT) systems tailored for agricultural and aquaculture applications in Louisiana. Attendees will learn to integrate various sensors for monitoring environmental conditions like soil moisture, water quality, and temperature, then transmit this data securely to the cloud using AWS Lambda and other serverless technologies. The focus will be on practical, cost-effective solutions that can help local farmers and fishers optimize yields, manage resources, and address specific regional challenges such as coastal erosion impacts or efficient crop irrigation. Participants will leave with a foundational understanding and a working prototype that they can further develop.
