About This workshop
This intensive workshop provides participants with practical skills in developing and deploying AI-powered edge devices specifically tailored for environmental monitoring and alpine conservation. Attendees will work hands-on with low-power microcontrollers, various environmental sensors, and advanced TinyML models optimized for resource-constrained embedded systems. We'll cover everything from sensor data acquisition and local processing to power management strategies crucial for remote deployments, including solar integration. The session culminates in participants assembling and configuring their own ruggedized monitoring unit, simulating deployment in a challenging Montana wilderness scenario, gaining invaluable experience for real-world applications.
